Eucalyptus’s big open source move to Github has the tech media buzzing this week. Yet, it was only a few months ago that OpenStack and CloudStack were helping to stir up “cloud war” headlines. Given the recent open source play by Eucalyptus, which cloud platform do you think will best meet your needs? Don’t forget to tell us why in the comments!

    I work for a large enterprise, and when we ran a one month comparisson, there was no doubt CloudStack was the best option. Proffessional UI, easy to install and administer, and the ability to run a massive cloud. It is hard to argue when you hear about 30,000 server deployments. Plus real support in the opensource community for both traditional VMware zones and flat, distributed amazon-like zones means we can run the applications we already have, and the next generation of things we want to build.
